Hi! My name is Edmond Duong, and I am a co-founder of Course Consultants. I graduated from high school in 2022 and am currently entering my third year of studies in Mathematics & Statistics and Business Law at the University of Western Australia (UWA).
I believe that one of the most stressful aspects of high school isn’t the exams but the uncertainty of what comes after. The question, “What do you want to study after school?” can feel daunting, especially given the vast array of career paths. Having tutored several ATAR students, I found myself reminded that students often neglect spending time to figure out what they want to study post-school due to immediate pressures of tests and exams.
To address this issue, I partnered with Nick Chin to co-found Course Consultants. Through Course Consultants, I hope to help students better understand the distinction between different majors. I find that discussions with individuals of a similar age will result in more relatable and grounded discussions, exposing students to information that they might not have otherwise encountered.
With enough questions asked and blogs read, I hope that students will feel more confident in choosing a course that they are genuinely passionate for.

My name is Nick Chin, and I am a co-founder of Course Consultants. I graduated from high school in 2023 and I am now entering my second year of studies in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Western Australia (UWA).
Having recently finished high school, I understand how overwhelming the transition is from high school to university. From talking with others, a common theme brought up is that students are not fully aware of what their degree involves. Talking with older students gave me a clearer understanding of what Engineering and Maths involved and where it would take me in the future.
To help students navigate through these uncertainties, I partnered with Edmond Duong to co-found Course Consultants. With Course Consultants, I hope to support students in feeling more confident and prepared as they transition to university. Especially, for students who may not have access to a network that can assist them in choosing a degree and people who do not feel confident in reaching out to ask questions.
Your time in university will be some of the best years of your life. Having a degree you enjoy will make the journey all the more memorable.
